Majority of Americans Staying Healthy Doing Job-Related Exercise

CDC's new report, based on responses of almost 386,400 US workers, suggests that walking or other physically demanding action at work helps one in staying healthy. The report also found that contrary to reports of unhealthy lifestyle, most employees are staying healthy by meeting guidelines for minimum activity. The study revealed that 68.5% of men and 60.4% of women employees are staying healthy by getting some kind of exercise on and off the job.
Minimum activity guidelines for staying healthy are met if your day has 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise. More than half of American office-going employees are staying healthy with doing demanding physical activity at work or walking and staying healthy doing moderate exercise at home.
