It has been reported that net sales to physician offices by PSS World Medical Inc of Jacksonville grew 15.4% to $396.9 million in the first quarter of the year. Henry Schein Inc. of Melville, N.Y. released their reports on May 3 for a quarter of the year ending on March 26. In their case, the sales to physician offices had reached $319.8 million.

It is believed that the reason being this increase is the increase of medical supply orders by the physicians. The physicians are now more comfortable in ordering supplies since many people get health insurance through their employers.
According to Gary Corless, CEO and President of PSS, physicians are buying more and more and because of that improved utilization is being observed. Lets' hope, this doesn't backfire the people in the wrong way!
